Featuring BIG tastes and a variety of new textures, ‘my little BIG meals’ are a handy, healthy range that your BIG little people will love and enjoy.
There are six delicious dishes to choose from including Chicken Curry, Pork Stew, Beef Stew, Veggie Moussaka, Chicken Paella and Bolognese Bake.
We were very kindly sent the Beef Stew and Veggie Moussaka for Riley to review.
Both of the dishes take 1 minute to warm up in the microwave and come in a 200g portion size, a very generous amount for a toddler meal. At 22 months, Riley has a healthy appetite but he would have struggled to eat the entire tray, so he shared both meals with his 4 year old cousin, Tia, who was only too happy to step in and help out.
The ‘Stacked + Packed Veggie Moussaka’ includes 100% vegetables and lentils topped with a creamy sauce. It is the only vegetarian meal within the range and is made from a mix of organic hearty food, bursting with 7 different vegetables.
This exotic dish went down a treat with both Tia and Riley – it had a good consistency, smelt delicious and a provided a variety of different tastes and textures thanks to the range of chunky vegetables used within the recipe. Although chunky, the vegetable pieces were small and manageable enough for Riley to feed himself and digest easily.
The ‘Beefy Beef Stew’ includes 100% vegetables, beef and beans. It is made from a mix of good organic hearty food and is bursting with 7 different vegetables. Beef Stew is a firm favourite in this house so i knew this dish would go down well and it looked so appetizing that mummy may have had a little try herself. It was a little too peppery for my taste buds but Riley and Tia had no complaints and devoured the entire contents of the tray in a matter of minutes. This dish had a different consistency to the Veggie Moussaka, with a lot more liquid content but there was certainly no compromise on the flavour or variety of textures.
Overall, i think the ‘my little BIG meals’ are a fantastic addition to to the Ella’s Kitchen range and are not only perfect for busy parents who need a quick, healthy and tasty meal at home but they are also ideal for parents on the go as they come in handy 200g portion trays which can be easily stored in a changing bag. The packaging is bright, informative and all the nutritional information, ingredients and heating instructions are clearly shown on the reverse. I especially love the fact that each dish tells you exactly how many fruits and vegetables it contains. These scrummy meals are full of yummy goodness, big tastes, texture and plenty of healthy, simple and 100% organic ingredients. What more could you want for your BIG little ones? I would definitely recommend these meals to other parents.
The ‘my little BIG meals’ have a RRP of £2.19 and are available to purchase in the baby food aisle of major retailers now.
