Ellie Goulding, Mischief And Monochrome // #LittleLoves

Fri-yay! How are we here again? The weeks seem to be flying by and i can’t believe we are half way through February already.

Here’s what we have been loving this week:

When I Was Born by Isabel Minhos Martins. It’s a wonderful book that tells the story of what it’s like to be a new little person in the world – discovering, exploring and using your senses for the first time. When I Was Born is beautifully illustrated and uses simple, engaging language so it is great for opening young minds to the richness and delight of life. We bought this book for Riley’s 3rd birthday which was in November and he still picks it up to read and look through most days.

When I Was Born

Love Me Like You Do by Ellie Goulding. I am so pleased this song went straight in to the charts at #1 last week because i think it’s brilliant. It’s from the film ’50 Shades Of Grey’ which i believe is being released in cinemas today, blatantly to coincide with Valentine’s Day. Good tactic Universal Studios! Now i haven’t read the books myself, but if the trailer is anything to go by i think ladies everywhere will be feeling a little hot under the collar! Anyway, back to the song, if you haven’t heard it yet, go check it out!

This mischief maker break in to Riley’s room while he was at preschool and help himself to the toys! Haha! Harry has become known as ‘Dennis The Menace’ because that’s exactly what he is, a menace. He’s always been cheeky but lately he’s become aware of that fact and uses it to his advantage, doing whatever he can to cause mischief and mayhem.

The bed. Does that count?

It’s been pretty cold here this week and Riley hasn’t been feeling 100% so we haven’t ventured outside much, but he has insisted on wearing a hat, boots and scarf around the house regardless. Who am i to argue?! I went a little monochrome mad with this outfit. The le bebe jumper is by one of my favourite designers Hugo Loves Tiki and we got it from US online store Milk+Bots during the ‘Black Friday’ sales last year. The leggings are from Asher + Crew and the neck scarf is by Tale Of Boy, a UK based designer specialising in hip and funky clothes specifically for boys. The boots were a £12 bargain from Asda…..sometimes you just can’t beat the good old supermarket.

And Lastly…

It’s Valentine’s Day tomorrow so HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY to all of you beautiful ladies. I hope the men in your lives shower you with gifts and romance!

Have a great weekend xxx

Your boys are always so stylish Vikki! I love seeing their wee outfits! 🙂 Loving that Ellie Goulding song – Jamie Dornan is so hot in the trailer for that film, isn’t he? He’s lovely to look at but I just cringe whenever he opens his mouth. Our accent sounds so bad on screen! :/ Have a brilliant weekend pet xx

Harry looks super cute, although he reminds me of my littlest boy. I don’t know if they have to fight harder for attention, or they just grow up faster, but yes… I think my second is a little bit more of a ‘menace’. Love your pictures this week, and every week! Have a fab weekend x

Loving the monochrome! I do like the EG song too although not too sure I’ll be seeing the movie – I don’t think I’d be able to get the idea of Jamie Dornan as a serial killer (from The Fall) out of my head! Have a great weekend X #littleloves
