Our Ben And Holly #ElfAndFairyParty

Every now and again i get to take part in some really fun campaigns and being asked to throw a Ben & Holly “Elf And Fairy Party” is definitely one of them.

I mentioned in a previous post that there are now a variety of party themed activities available to download for free from the official Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom website. The site is packed full of ideas for hosting a magical Elf and Fairy Party with your little ones and there are also some simply delicious Nanny Plum inspired recipes for cakes, cookies and sandwiches (more on these in another post!).

The boys both received invitations from Ben and Holly a week before i planned on holding the party and while waiting for the day to arrive, we spent some time together making cards and flag bunting. You can download the free templates for both of these activities here . The boys love arts and crafts so these activities went down a treat and it helped build up their excitement for the party itself.

elfandfairyparty7On the day of the party, the boys were at preschool for the morning so i took this opportunity to get everything ready in the hope that it would be a nice surprise for them when they got home. I used the recipes out of Nanny Plum’s cookbook to make some caterpillar sandwiches, ladybird snacks, fairy cakes and magic jelly and made some party food labels using cocktail sticks and free templates from the Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom website. I also downloaded templates to use for the table place cards and masks too.

No party would be complete without some fun and games, so i installed the FREE Elf And Fairy Party app on to their iPads and created an area in the living room where they could watch the new Elf And Fairy Party DVD. I also printed off some colouring sheets from the Ben and Holly website and had the Elf And Fairy Party Sticker Activity Book out for them to do as well.

Once the DVD had finished and they’d completed the other activities, we had a couple of goes at musical statues and then settled down for some yummy party food.

If you hold your own parties, don’t forget to share them with Ben and Holly on Twitter using the handle @thebenandholly and the hashtag#ElfAndFairyParty .

The food looks brilliant, some great ideas. I bet N would like a little party like this – anything where he doesn’t have to have lots of people always goes down well with him

This is such a fab idea, there are so many little ones that I know who would love this. The fact that it’s all free is great as well! Xx
