The Siblings Project // May 2016

I’m late with this post, as usual, but for this month’s Siblings Project I am sharing some photos taken from our holiday at Bluestone Wales last week. We had the most wonderful midweek break and are so grateful for Bluestone inviting us to stay, but anyway, more on that in another post. Back to my beautiful boys.

I think this first photo is my most favourite one of them together EVER!

The bond between them continues to grow and they really are the best of friends. Sure, they have a love/hate thing going on at times….what siblings don’t?…but for the most part they are very loving and affectionate towards one another. I have always been super close with my own siblings and i wanted similar for Riley and Harry so it makes my heart so happy to see their relationship heading in such a positive direction.

Riley is definitely the more caring, loving and affectionate one out of the two. It’s just in his nature. People comment all the time on his sweet temperament and what a lovely boy he is. He’s always wanting to hold Harry’s hand, kiss him, hug him, tuck him in at night and tell him he loves him. He looks out for him at preschool and just generally wants to please him.

Harry, on the other hand, is the more stubborn, feisty and mischievous one out of the two. Cheeky is his middle name and he loves nothing more than to wind Riley up and cause copious amounts of mayhem. He is trouble with a capital “T” but knows exactly how to get away with it by fluttering those long eyelashes. Having said that, he also has a deeper, more reserved side and it’s clear to see that he idolises his big brother and looks up to him. I’ve noticed more and more that he likes to seek Riley’s approval for things and enjoys being praised or rewarded by his big brother.

I can’t wait to see how things change over the next month and am so thankful this Siblings Project gives me the opportunity to record and remember it all!

Ahh sweet! All siblings love to hate each other! Mine certainly do! It’s funny when they form a really strong unit when out and about but when we get home its ‘every man for himself’! xx
