Hasbro is celebrating Play-Doh’s 60th birthday with the introduction of Play-Doh Town, a new system of play through Town-themed playsets, vehicles and figures that work together to build a world for expansive, storytelling play. With scenes and themes that kids are familiar with, such as a Pizza shop, Ice Cream Truck and Firehouse, and figures such as a police officer and a hairdresser, your children can use their imaginations to create unique stories every time they play.

There are so many possibilities with this playset.

An extruder that’s shaped like an ice cream scoop presses out pretend soft-serve from the ice cream cone located on the truck’s roof into an empty cone waiting below. Alternatively, you can remove the pressing tool from the truck and use it to squeeze silly swirly hairstyles onto the top of the ice cream man’s head.

The stampers on the ice cream man’s feet can be used to make a bowtie and some money, and the mini moulds on the truck and removable tray make all kinds of crazy ice cream decorations including hearts, flowers, and strawberries.

Also, there’s the ability to shape giant Play-Doh popsicles with the book-mould and these can then be clipped to the truck or placed in the ice cream man’s hand ready for delivery. Kids can then pretend to drive their ice cream truck around the Play-Doh Town selling lots of yummy treats the residents.

    This is such a cool toy. I think I have to put the on my boys birthday list. He loves ice cream but I’ve never brought play doh into our house.
