We Are Huggies Pull-Ups Ambassadors

I am very excited to announce that we have been chosen as Huggies Pull-Ups Ambassadors for 2016 and will be working very closely with them for the next six months to share our potty training journey, advice and tips with you.

Harry will be 3 years old next week and some might say we are “late” with potty training, but previous attempts were nothing short of disastrous and not wanting to force the issue i made the decision to wait and follow his lead instead. A few weeks ago he began to show signs that he was “ready” for potty training which included verbalising when he needed to go for a wee, asking to use the potty whenever he saw Riley using it and taking his nappy off or asking us to change him if he was wet. At this point, the signs weren’t consistent – he’d have days where he wouldn’t show any interest in potty training at all, but nevertheless, the signs were there so we decided to try again.

It hasn’t been plain sailing by any means, in fact, the first week or so was pretty horrendous, consisting of endless accidents, puddles to clean up, poo-stained clothes and copious amounts of washing but we’ve persevered and thankfully seem to be slowly turning a corner.

As part of our role as Huggies Pull-Ups Ambassadors, we are being fully supported by Huggies and are hoping to move on to the next stage of potty training with the help of their 6 Steps to Potty Success , which has been created in partnership with renowned child psychologist, Dr Heather Wittenberg.

We are going to be working alongside some amazing bloggers so check out their blogs too to follow their potty training journeys with Huggies Pull-Ups.

I’m going to need to follow you REALLY closely, we’re just embarking on potty training now with our son. We’re going gently at the moment because it’s not essential for us to push him just yet but I’m hoping it’s not that hard lol. x

I think it’s definitely best to wait until they show signs of being ready AND interested, otherwise it can be counterproductive! Good luck 🙂

Yay well done. We still till haven’t trained my nearly 4 year old at night but he’s been trained during the day since March or April. He’s pretty much trained at night as well. It’s just the laziness.
