The Siblings Project // July 2016

So like usual, i am late with this month’s post, but better late than never, right? I know i say this every month, but time is literally running away with me and i am desperately willing it to slow down. We are on the final 6-week countdown before my biggest baby starts school…SCHOOL…what the what????? I’m determined to make the most of the summer holidays and spend some much-needed quality time with my boys.

SIBLINGSJULYTheir relationship has truly blossomed over the past month and it’s so beautiful to see. I’m sure every mama says this about their children but i feel truly blessed to call them mine and privileged that i get to witness and experience so many wonderful moments between them. Sure there are the occasional episodes of sibling rivalry, but generally, they are so loving and affectionate with one another.

SIBLINGSJULY1

They are just at a really fun age, where the world is full of possibilities and their imagination, creativity, and social skills are peaking. Since turning 3 and having a language explosion, Harry’s become less of a “nuisance” to Riley and more of a playmate and partner-in-crime. They go on the most amazing adventures together, they explore, they share silly stories, they play make-believe and they tell each other nonsensical jokes.

SIBLINGSJULY3When one is sad, the other offers comfort. When one is unsure, the other offers reassurance. When one achieves something new, the other offers his congratulations. When one needs help, the other offers support.

There’s just a really special bond and lovely dynamic there right now.

SIBLINGSJULY4

One that i hope leads them to have a friend in each other for life.

They sound like they have such a fab bond as brothers (and play mates!)

Hope you enjoy your 6 weeks holidays before your big boy starts school – what an adventure for him! x

Aww they sound like two little peas in a pod! So lovely. I know what you mean, time just seems to disappear nowadays. This is the last summer before school for us too! Hope you all have a good one 🙂 xx

It’s the best feeling in the world when you see your children’s relationship growing into friendship, not just brotherhood, isn’t it. My 4 are best of friends most of the time (although they hate each other on occasion too!) and I love spying on them when they play together: too cute! Enjoy the summer holidays before your little man starts school. They grow up so quickly, don’t they?
