I’m a few days late with my Siblings Project this month, as i am most months actually. The 15th of the month seems to creep up on me and if i’m honest we’ve just been having way too much fun for me to sit down and actually blog. Things have been busier than usual and that’s simply because we’re trying to make the most of the summer holidays before Riley starts school next month.
I’ve cheated slightly with this month’s photos as they include my niece, but she’s more like a big sister to the boys anyway so i’ve decided it’s allowed. These photos were taken during a visit to The Stick Man Trail at Bedgebury Pinetum And Forest earlier this month (full post on this coming soon!). The trail took us on a fantastic forest adventure and there were some really fun activities to complete along the way. We had such an amazing day out and it made for some great photo opportunities. The boys have been pretty inseparable this month and their relationship continues to grow in such a beautiful way. They want to do everything together, and Harry in particular is always following his big brother around. I know it’s going to be a big shock for him next month when Riley starts school and isn’t with him all the time, although Harry himself will be at preschool for two and half days a week, so i’m kind of hoping the change doesn’t affect him too badly. It’s not all been good though. Harry’s stubborn nature has reared its ugly head this month which has caused all manner of clashes and meltdowns. He wants to be in charge and have things on his terms all the time, which was fine all the while Riley gave into him, but Riley’s confidence has shot through the roof recently and he has stopped backing down to his little brother. I’m secretly quite pleased about this because it’s nice to see him standing his ground and sticking up for himself.Tantrums aside, it’s been a pretty good month otherwise, one full of fun days out, trips to the seaside, walks in the woods, paddling in the pool, adventures in the garden and just two boys being boys.
