The Siblings Project // October 2016

I’m late (again) with my “Siblings Project” post this month… I don’t know how, but time literally seems to run away with me and before I know it, it’s the 15th of the month again and I’ve taken no photos. None that I find suitable anyway. Please tell me I’m not alone in this?

It’s definitely been a time of change around here and I feel like the boys are growing up more and more each day.

School has really brought out the best in Riley. I’ve known for months that he was “ready” to go and that certainly seems to be the case as he is thriving and learning new things every single day. He’s much more mature and independent now, which makes me incredibility proud (naturally!) but it’s also a little bittersweet because he is needing me less and less.

siblingsprojectoct16Harry isn’t too sure what to make of it all either and I know he desperately misses his playmate and brother when he’s not around. But in a way, it’s made their time together more special and they’ve really become the best of friends.

They have the same likes, the same interests, the same habits…they are a perfect team. When Harry’s afraid or feeling a little unsure about something, Riley is there to encourage and push him on. When Riley’s feeling sad or upset, Harry is the first to run over and give him a cuddle or find some way to make him laugh. They just “click” and seem to “get” each other now.

It is just how I imagined having two little boys would be. And I truly hope it forever stays that way. I want the boys to remain close and go through life knowing and appreciating that they will always have a friend in one another.

I have found that school has helped my son lots too. He is super sweet now, especially with his sister. Lovely pictures of your boys x

Ah that’s a lovely post and it’s nice that they look out for each other. It’s scary how much they change when they start school and seem so grown up.

Awh, this is adorable. I’ve 3 under 3 and hope this is exactly how they will be. The cuteness of the two of them playing together!!

I love reading your posts about your boys. Having girls myself, I find it intriguing to see if there are differences between relationships. Your boys are gorgeous!
