Goodness On The Go With Gogo SqueeZ

At GoGo squeeZ, their mission is to make it easier for busy families to be healthier and happier on the go, by producing a range of squeezable fruit snacks and yoghurt snacks that kids will love. So, when they got in touch and asked if we would like to review a selection of GoGo squeeZ Yogurtz and GoGo squeeZ Fruit Snack pouches, I knew that they would be perfect for the boys.

GOGO SQUEEZ

Life is busy and with school runs, after-school clubs, swimming lessons, homework, birthday parties and visiting family to contend with on a weekly basis, the boys are used to snacking on-the-go. More often than not I am shoving snacks into bags as I leave the house and whilst I would love to be the holistic mama who buys organic, uses cloth nappies and has a never-ending supply of pre-prepared nuts, fruits and vegetable snacks…that just isn’t me.

I’m not ashamed to admit that I rely on products like GoGo squeeZ Fruit Snacks and GoGo squeeZ Yogurts to keep me sane…and provide a quick and easy, healthy alternative to the usual offering of crisps, biscuits and chocolate.

GOGO SQUEEZ

We’ve been using the GoGo squeeZ Fruit Snack pouches at breakfast time and adding the fruit puree to porridge for some added flavour.  As the pouches are made with only real, fresh fruit and a splash of juice, they get natural sweetness from the fruit ingredients so there is no need for added sugar, HFCS, colours or flavours, making them a much healthier option. This doesn’t affect the quality or taste at all though, Riley and Harry said all three flavours (Apple, Apple Mango & Apple Strawberry) were utterly delicious and having tried them for myself, I have to agree. Each pouch contains 1 of a child’s 5 a day so they are a brilliant option for a sweet snack and mixed with porridge, I feel they give the boys a great start to the day.

The boys have also really enjoyed the GoGo squeeZ YogurtZ pouches. They are made with real low-fat yoghurt and fruit puree so are an excellent source of calcium and vitamin D and have a really smooth and creamy consistency – ideal as the boys aren’t fans of the “bits” sometimes found in other yoghurts. These pouches have been the most popular with the boys and Riley’s particularly been enjoying the yoghurt over fruit pieces as a sort of pudding after a main meal.

One of the biggest benefits of the yoghurt pouches is that they don’t need to be kept refrigerated (although it’s worth noting that after opening they should be stored in a fridge and consumed with 24hours). A simple pasteurization makes it possible to preserve the pouches at ambient temperature without the addition of preservatives. This makes them a great addition to Harry’s lunchbox because they don’t go warm after sitting in the school dining hall all morning and their unique helicopter cap design means he is able to open and close the pouches himself, without having to ask the dinner ladies for help. Plus, the pouches are pretty strong and don’t burst open – even when squeezed vigorously by a 4 year old – so I don’t have to worry about them getting squashed or making a mess in his lunchbox either.

GOGO SQUEEZ

It’s been really handy having the GoGo squeeZ pouches at home because the boys are always hungry after a busy day at school and the first thing they do is head straight to the cupboard for a snack. What I’ve been pleased to see is that in place of the usual junk food, they’ve happily been reaching for the pouches instead.

They’ve also been perfect on the days that the boys have after-school clubs and swimming lessons. The pouches are easy for me to grab from the cupboard on my way out the door and because of their re-sealable packaging and built-in straw, they can be enjoyed in the car without the need for spoons or mess making. Win-win!

What i love most about these squeeZable snacks – apart from the fact they’re healthy, nutritional and delicious – is that they squeeZ into busy, vibrant family life perfectly.

More About GoGo squeeZ:

GoGo squeeZ works with local farmers to find top quality and fresh apples, strawberries, mangoes and bananas to use in each of their products and they only source ingredients from evolved farms and orchards that use the best ecological practices to grow and harvest fruits.

During the GoGo squeeZ manufacturing process they go to great lengths to ensure that every pouch is delicious and packed full of high-quality, natural ingredients. I’ve not heard of these before – they look good. I like the idea of adding them to porridge. It might get my kids to actually eat it! x

Riley will only eat porridge if it’s got chunks of fruit in usually, so the addition of the fruit puree as well gives it an extra boost of flavour i find!xx

I would highly recommend them for lunchboxes. They don’t go warm and really minimise mess as well. No more empty(ish) yoghurt pots leaking all over the lunchbox! xx
