About

Hello.

I’m so happy to see you here. Let me tell you a little about myself and this here blog.

Back in April 2012, I was a first-time mum to a 4 month old baby who had been born 10 weeks prematurely. I was getting about 3-4 hours sleep a night and for some crazy reason, I decided I needed a blog. A space to share his journey and empty my inner most thoughts. So Love From Mummy was born.

Originally it was a private blog to share Riley’s progress with family and friends, but over time it became so much more.

I discovered a blogging community that was supportive and encouraging, a community i could go to for advice without judgement, a community where there were other mums just like me in very similar situations and a community that i wanted to be a part of. It inspired me to do more with my life and this blog and that’s kind of how we got to where we are today.

And me?

I’m Vikki, the blogger behind Love From Mummy. I’m 29 years old and live in Kent, UK. The only girl in a house full of boys. I’m the proud mama to two little superheroes Riley (4) and Harry (3), both of whom have made my life complete.

I am a lover of photography and snap photos every single day. Photos on my blog are either taken with my iPhone or with my Nikon D5100. I am addicted to monochrome, in love with minimalistic/Scandinavian design and passionate about kids fashion and interiors.

To be completely honest, owning a personal blog isn’t a natural thing for me. I’m the kind of girl that likes to blend into a crowd and not draw too much attention to herself, but for some reason I absolutely love it and it’s become a bit of a passion of mine. Now that I’ve started blogging and freelancing full-time, it’s allowed me to juggle (oh yes, it’s a juggle) life as a mum and working from home.

This is our life, our memories, our dreams, our thoughts, our beautiful ordinary.

Enough about me though, what about you? Feel free to get in touch and say hi.

    Hi Vikki,

How are you? I hope you’re well.

Firstly, may I say how fab you’re blog is I was really impressed when I came across you on Bloglovin.

I represent a new on-line children’s watch and sunglasses brand booRah. booRah is practical and affordable and offer products that that all been tried and tested by the founder of booRah’s two sons. The brand is essentially aimed at the 4- 12 year age range but has proved popular with adults too.

I was wondering if we would be able to work together in some way? I can provide some information around the brand if needs be.

I very much look forward to hearing your thoughts.

    Kind regards,
    Emma

    Hi Vikki,

    Hope you’re well!

I’m getting in touch as I’m from PR agency Edelman where I work with Norton (the internet security/Anti-Virus company). We are currently planning an event and would love to get your feedback to see if it’s something you might be interested in coming along to. I’d also love to know if you’d be interested in hearing more from Norton generally in the future?

I know you’ve spoken with Lucy C from our team in the past, and having seen how you regularly blog about parenting and being a mum, we thought you might be interested in coming to a fun but educational event with Riley and Harry where we will show how families can make sure they are using the internet safely.

The event will take place in London during February half term (aiming for Thursday 19th) and we’ll be putting on a few fun and interactive workshops and activities for children around the theme of ‘cyber fairytales’ – retelling traditional fairytales in a modern way around our use of technology, including illustrators drawing well known stories in amusing ways, competitions and giveaways, helping them watch online clips and play the games they love safely.

As we’re in the early stages of planning, is this the type of event you’d be interested in coming along to? Is there anything else you’d like to know or see at the event? We’d also be happy to send over a copy of Norton Security 2015 for you to take a look at if you’d like.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

    Best wishes,
    Lucy

    Hi Vikki,

I do hope you’re having a lovely week.

I’m just emailing on behalf of a brand new childrenswear brand called Mini Street Style that caters for ages 3 to 10. What makes this brand special is their affiliation with Railway Children – 10% of all the brands profits are being donated to the charity.

The brand is also setting itself apart with the involvement of the general public in the selection of the final collection. Through opening a public vote, Mini Street are hoping to produce and sell a final collection that people really want to see and buy. The collection features 60 pieces with only 50% of these being put into final production for this season, something finalised by the public vote.

With voting closing on September 25th we’re trying to gain as much awareness for the brand and the website vote as we can, and would love to collaborate with you if you feel this is in-keeping with your readers interests.

I’d love to send you the look book so you can get a better feel for the brand and the link to the website is here > http://ministreetstyle.com/

Do let me know if this would be of interest for Love From Mummy.

Thanks so much for your time and have a lovely day.
